James Dunn nails the Great North Run for Manorlands!

James Dunn with Manorlands cheque

James Dunn, solicitor and director at AWB Charlesworth, just completed the Great North Run, raising an amazing £2,700 for Manorlands.

Earlier in the year, solicitor Jenny Barron ran the London Marathon. Combined with her fund-raising, a music festival Jenny put on and various sponsorship and events, AWB Charlesworth hope to raise more than £12,000 for the charity by the end of 2024.

James is Head of Commercial Property working out of our Keighley and Bradford offices.

James said: “The Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is immensely important, and we enjoy supporting them in every way we can. The staff’s enthusiasm and fundraising program is infectious. You can’t help but join in and support them. Many of our staff and clients have links to the hospice, so it’s an absolute privilege to assist this fantastic local cause.”

Adam Brunskill, Senior Community Fundraiser for Manorlands said: “”This incredible total is a testament to James and how seriously he took his running and fundraising in equal measure, he really has set a fantastic example for others to follow in how to approach The Great North Run for Sue Ryder.

From us all at Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice we say a huge thankyou to James and everyone who has supported his fundraising. We are incredibly proud of what James has achieved, with these vital funds helping to make sure we are there for more people when it matters most.”

Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is in Oxenhope, near Keighley. They provide expert palliative care to support people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. They work with many families across the Aire Valley and beyond. Only a third of Manorlands income comes from the central government and the NHS, so they rely heavily on fundraising.
